Southampton expect Jay Rodriguez stay?

Southampton are understood to be confident of keeping Jay Rodriguez at the club this summer.

Southampton are reportedly expecting to keep hold of forward Jay Rodriguez this summer despite speculation over his future.

The 25-year-old has missed the entire season with a serious knee injury, though he recently made a return to first-team training.

Despite a lack of action over the past 12 months, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool have all been linked with the England international.

However, the Saints are confident that Rodriguez will sign a new five-year contract at St Mary's Stadium, according to Sky Sports News.

Southampton continue their Premier League campaign on Saturday when they make the trip to struggling Leicester City.
