Tim Howard wants Steven Pienaar stay

Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard wants the club to re-sign Steven Pienaar on a permanent basis.

Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard is hopeful that on-loan midfielder Steven Pienaar will return to the club on a permanent basis.

Pienaar, 30, returned to Goodison Park in January having joined Tottenham Hotspur in the summer, and Howard has insisted that the Toffees must "get Steven back."

"We've got to get Steven back. This is his home, and second time around, you really feel that," Howard told BBC Radio Merseyside.

Everton finished the Premier League season in seventh position.
