Werder Bremen crush Borussia Monchengladbach

Goals from Nils Petersen, Marko Arnautovic, Niclas Fullkrug and Zlatko Junuzovic help Werder Bremen defeat Borussia Monchengladbach 4-0 at home.

Werder Bremen have registered their second Bundesliga win at home this season with a comprehensive 4-0 defeat of Borussia Monchengladbach.

The hosts dominated proceedings in the first half and went ahead in the 37th minute when Nils Petersen headed home Kevin De Bruyne's delivery from close range.

It became 2-0 to Bremen on the stroke of half-time, Marko Arnautovic firing in from outside the Monchengladbach penalty box with his right foot.

The visitors failed to make any concrete response in the second half and conceded twice in the final 15 minutes at the Weserstadion.

First Niclas Fullkrug turned in Arnautovic's cross from close range on 76 minutes, and 10 minutes later Zlatko Junuzovic scored his side's fourth.
