Team News: Alexis Sanchez starts for Arsenal

Arsenal striker Alexis Sanchez, who was benched against Tottenham Hotspur, is named in the Gunners' starting XI for their Champions League clash against Galatasaray.

Arsenal striker Alexis Sanchez has been named in Arsene Wenger's starting XI for their Champions League clash against Galatasaray at the Emirates.

The Chilean was named on the bench against Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend but is reinstated alongside Mathieu Flamini and Santi Cazorla.

Jack Wilshere, who took a knock in the match against their North London rivals, makes the bench, while Aaron Ramsey and Mikel Arteta miss out altogether after picking up injuries at the weekend.

Arsenal have never lost to Turkish sides over 90 minutes, winning five and drawing four of nine previous games.

Galatasaray manager Cesare Prandelli, who has no new injury problems, has stuck with a 3-5-2 formation for the game against the Gunners.

Goran Pandev and Burak Yilmaz lead the line for the visitors, with support arriving from Wesley Sneijder.

Meanwhile, Hamit Altintop is on the bench.
