Jose Mourinho: 'Arsenal still in Premier League title race'

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho believes that Arsenal are still in the race for the Premier League, despite trailing his side by seven points with nine game left of the season.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has claimed that Arsenal are still in the race for the Premier League title, despite being seven points behind his side with just nine games remaining this season.

The Blues extended their lead at the top of the table as they drew 1-1 with Southampton, although failing to take full advantage of Manchester City's slip up at Burnley on Saturday.

However, the 52-year-old has said that the race for the title is not just between his side and City.

He told reporters: "Of course. Seven points behind Chelsea and one less match to play. Our position is better than them but I think so. More teams are in it."

When asked if Arsenal could be a bigger threat to Chelsea's pursuit of the top-flight crown due to their recent results, the Portuguese added: "What momentum? 3-1 against Monaco? Or 3-0 against West Ham? Depends on the momentum."

Mourinho has also hit back at recent criticism of his side from television pundits following their exit from the Champions League.
