Arsenal striker Robin van Persie is expected to shake off a groin injury to play for Holland against England tonight.

Robin van Persie is expected to be fit for Holland's friendly encounter against England this evening.

The Arsenal striker's participation had been thrown into doubt following news that he had suffered a groin injury in training.

However, the complaint is not as serious as first feared and Van Persie is said to be ready to lead Holland's attack at Wembley.

The 28-year-old has made 61 appearances for his country, scoring 25 goals in the process.
