Arsene Wenger ready to play Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain against Aston Villa

Arsene Wenger says that he has no "hesitation" in playing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain against Aston Villa this weekend.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could feature against Aston Villa this weekend following his comeback from injury.

The 20-year-old has returned to full training after a five-month stint on the sidelines with a knee problem.

The England international suffered ligament damage on the opening day of the season in August when Arsenal succumbed to a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Aston Villa.

Despite a lack of match fitness, Wenger has claimed that he is prepared to throw Oxlade-Chamberlain into the mix following a knee injury suffered by Theo Walcott last week.

"I wouldn't have any hesitation on playing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain against Aston Villa," Wenger said in a press conference.

The Gunners will be without Walcott for at least six months, which has also ruined his chances of travelling to the World Cup in Brazil this summer with England.
