Arsenal have reportedly been in contact with the father of in-demand teenager Reinier to discuss a potential switch to the Emirates Stadium in the near future.
The 17-year-old has scored four goals and contributed two assists in 12 appearances for Flamengo this season having broken into the first team at the Brazilian club.
Barcelona have allegedly recently joined the race for the youngster, who has also been linked with Chelsea, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.
However, according to Mundo Deportivo, Arsenal have now made contact with Reinier's father in the hope of winning the race for the attacker's signature.
The report claims that Flamengo value the teenager in the region of £34m as the interest continues to grow, although there is believed to be a £60m release clause in his current deal.
Reinier has scored five times in 10 appearances for Brazil at Under-17 level.
