Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil reportedly turns down the chance to join Paris Saint-Germain on loan for the remainder of the season.

Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has reportedly turned down the chance to join Paris Saint-Germain on deadline day.

The Ligue 1 champions are understood to have made a late approach to sign the German playmaker on loan for the remainder of the season as they look for cover for the injured Neymar.

Ozil has been in and out of the Arsenal team under Unai Emery so far this season, making his first league start in more than a month during Tuesday's clash with Cardiff City.

However, Suddeutsche Zeitung claims that the 30-year-old does not want to move to France on loan and has turned down an approach from PSG.

The two clubs could still do some business on deadline day, though, with Arsenal interested in signing midfielder Christopher Nkunku before tonight's 11pm deadline.
