Getafe reportedly intend to trigger the £5.5m right-to-purchase clause in Barcelona full-back Marc Cucurella's loan agreement in a big blow to Premier League sides.

A number of Premier League teams reportedly face being beaten to the signature of Barcelona full-back Marc Cucurella by his loan club Getafe.

The 21-year-old, also comfortable playing in midfield, has impressed during his season with the La Liga outfit and is believed to be on the radar of numerous sides.

Chelsea were linked with Cucurella at the weekend, while London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have also previously been credited with an interest.

Marca suggests that Getafe have the right to purchase the Spain Under-21s international permanently, however, and fully intend to trigger the £5.5m clause in his loan deal.

Napoli, Borussia Monchengladbach and Bayer Leverkusen are also rumoured to be tracking Cucurella, who has yet to make a senior league appearance for Barcelona.
