Manchester City are reportedly preparing to launch a £60m bid for Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez.
The two-time Premier League champions have been linked to the Chile international throughout the summer, but Gunners manager Arsene Wenger has been adamant that the attacker is not for sale.
The 28-year-old's future is still shrouded in doubt due to the fact that his contract expires at the Emirates next summer and there are no indications that Sanchez is close to agreeing fresh terms.
According to The Telegraph, City are going to make a last-ditch attempt to sign the forward for £60m, and the club are willing to pay the former Barcelona star £400,000 a week.
Sanchez did not feature in Arsenal's 4-3 victory over Leicester City in their Premier League opener on Friday due to injury, which is expected to keep him out of Saturday's trip to Stoke City.
