Roma are reportedly determined to sign Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka this summer.
The 28-year-old, who is currently with the Switzerland squad preparing for Euro 2020, is believed to have been identified by incoming Roma boss Jose Mourinho as a leading target in the upcoming market.
The midfielder recently opened the door on a potential move to the Italian giants, and according to Corriere dello Sport, Mourinho's team are desperate to secure his signature.
The report claims that the two teams are in direct contact over a summer switch, although Roma want to pay in the region of €15m (£13m) while Arsenal are sticking at their valuation of €25m (£21.5m).
Xhaka was again an important player for Arsenal last season, making 45 appearances in all competitions, contributing one goal and two assists in the process.
The Swiss has featured on 220 occasions for the Gunners, meanwhile, since arriving from Borussia Monchengladbach in the summer of 2016.
