Alain Casanova pleased with hard-earned point

Alain Casanova says that Toulouse showed "real unity" to earn a point against Monaco at the Stade Louis II.

Toulouse coach Alain Casanova has praised his players following last night's 0-0 draw with AS Monaco at the Stade Louis II.

The 51-year-old said that his team fought hard for a share of the spoils, although he believes that Claudio Ranieri's men need more time to gel.

"It is a good point which was not easy to obtain," Ligue1.com quotes Casanova as saying.

"I saw my team like I hadn't seen them for a long time in terms of the way they helped one another, the solidarity, the self-sacrifice.

"The group as a whole and the team displayed real unity. Monaco were what we expected. They will be even better when they further develop their collective."

Le Tef travel to Bastia for their next league match.
