The agent of Aston Villa's Nicklas Helenius has revealed that the striker is keen on a return to former club Aalborg BK.
The Denmark international joined the Villans last summer but was often overlooked under Paul Lambert, making just three appearances all season.
"Nicklas has one big wish: to return home with AaB. But he cannot wait indefinitely," agent Mads Bach Lund told Nordjyske.
"On Monday he will take training at Aston Villa and on Tuesday AaB start a training camp. The stay at Aston Villa has not gone as we hoped.
"There are various reasons which we want to keep to ourselves. But Nicklas has reached an age where he must play and it appears he is unlikely to at Aston Villa."
Helenius scored 34 goals in 95 games in his previous three-year spell with the Danish outfit.
