Atletico Madrid 'reach Antonio Adan agreement'

Atletico Madrid reportedly agree a deal with Real Betis for the transfer of experienced goalkeeper Antonio Adan.

Atletico Madrid have reportedly agreed a deal with Real Betis for the transfer of Antonio Adan.

The 31-year-old has been Betis's number one since joining the club in 2014, but his contract will expire next summer, and a number of clubs have been linked with a move.

Barcelona have recently been credited with an interest amid speculation surrounding the future of Jasper Cillessen, who continues to be linked with a move to the Premier League.

However, according to Marca, Atletico have reached an agreement with Betis for the transfer of Adan, who would become backup to number one goalkeeper Jan Oblak at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Atletico finished second in La Liga last season - three points above third-placed Real Madrid, but 14 points off the champions Barcelona.
