Barcelona boss Luis Enrique looking for "knockout blow"

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique says that victory for his team in El Clasico on Saturday would put Real Madrid out of the La Liga title race.

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has urged his players to land a "knockout blow" on Real Madrid in El Clasico this weekend.

The Catalan giants will enter the clash 10 points clear of Los Blancos at the top of La Liga, and Enrique has said that victory for his team would put the capital side out of the title race.

"We hope that it will be a great show and that the best team wins. There is nothing that gets a Barcelona fan hotter than beating Madrid. And that also goes for a Barcelona player. And it will be the same the other way around," Enrique told reporters.

"Real Madrid will no longer be able to win La Liga if we beat them. We would like to land the knockout blow. La Liga is all about consistency. We sit atop of the table because we deserve it.

"The only thing that's missing is a reward at the end of the season and we need three points for that."

Barcelona, who are currently on a 39-game unbeaten run in all competitions, recorded a 4-0 victory when the pair met at the Bernabeu in the league earlier this season.
