Barcelona are concerned about the form of Brazil international Philippe Coutinho, according to a report.

Barcelona are reportedly concerned with the form of Brazil international Philippe Coutinho.

Coutinho joined Barcelona from Liverpool in January, with the Spanish giants believed to have paid in excess of £140m to bring the versatile attacker to Camp Nou.

The 26-year-old has scored 15 times and registered 10 assists in 40 appearances for Barcelona, including five goals in 15 games for the Spanish champions this season.

However, according to Don Balon, Coutinho has not been meeting the expectations of Lionel Messi or head coach Ernesto Valverde since making the move to Spain.

Coutinho had a quiet evening as Barcelona recorded a 2-0 win over Villarreal on Sunday to return to the top of La Liga.
