Barcelona make Lautaro Martinez top transfer target?

Barcelona reportedly identify Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez as their top transfer target ahead of next summer.

Barcelona have reportedly identified Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez as their top transfer target ahead of next summer.

The Catalans are determined to locate a replacement for the ageing Luis Suarez, who turns 33 next January.

Martinez, who moved to San Siro in 2018, has enjoyed a positive start to the 2019-20 campaign, scoring five goals from 10 games in all competitions.

According to Calciomercato, Barcelona have made signing Martinez their priority and plan to trigger the striker's £86m release clause.

Inter, however, are determined to keep the Argentine and will open contract talks with the player in an attempt to keep him in Italy.

Martinez caught the eye at Barcelona by scoring after just two minutes during Inter's 2-1 defeat at Camp Nou earlier this season.
