Barcelona to pull out of Reinier race?

Barcelona could drop their interest in Flamengo attacker Reinier due to the cost of the deal, according to a report.

Barcelona could reportedly pull out of the race to sign Flamengo attacker Reinier with the Spanish champions viewing the youngster as too expensive.

The 17-year-old, who has scored six times in 15 appearances at club level this season, has been linked with a host of Europe's biggest teams in recent months.

Manchester City, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are all said to be interested in the Brazilian, who has also allegedly had contact with Arsenal.

Barca have also been strongly linked with a potential swoop, but according to Mundo Deportivo, the Spanish champions are ready to pull the plug on a move due to the cost.

The report claims that Reinier has a £29.5m release clause written into his current deal, but the Catalan outfit believe that the South American is too expensive at that price.

The attacker has found the back of the net on five occasions in 10 appearances for Brazil at Under-17 level.
