Clement Lenglet admits that he is pleased to see rumours suggesting a return to Barcelona for Neymar come to an end.

Clement Lenglet has expressed his relief after talk of a potential return to Barcelona for Neymar finally ceased this week.

The Brazilian, who left Camp Nou to join Barcelona for a world record £198m fee in 2017, has pushed for a return to Catalonia all summer.

However, it became clear last week that no deal between PSG and Barcelona over Neymar could be reached, with the former refusing to budge on their £200m valuation of the player.

Speaking to Marca about the protracted saga, Lenglet said: "Neymar? There were many rumours.

"It was a very hectic period for the club. Finally it's over. This way we can work a little easier."

Barcelona's failure to land Neymar's signature was primarily down to the Catalans being unable to shell out the full £200m, having already laid out £108m for Antoine Griezmann in this window.

The 27-year-old forward, who is said to have been left feeling 'sad and deeply angry' by the failed move, looks set to feature for Brazil against Colombia this weekend.
