Krzysztof Piatek opens up on Barcelona talk

Genoa forward Krzysztof Piatek says that he has 'heard that Barcelona want to sign him'.

Genoa forward Krzysztof Piatek has 'heard that Barcelona want to sign him', although the Croatian is struggling to believe the reports.

Piatek scored 32 times in 65 appearances for Polish outfit Cracovia between 2016 and 2018 before sealing a move to Genoa during the summer.

The 23-year-old has started the 2018-19 campaign with an incredible 13 goals in eight appearances for his new club.

Barcelona have been linked with a move for the striker, and Piatek has opened up on the reports.

"I have heard that Barcelona want to sign me, but I do not believe it," Piatek told DAZN. "I did very well last season and felt I needed to move on and I have only been here for two months helping my team, but who knows what the situation will be next year."

Piatek was named in Poland's preliminary squad for the 2018 World Cup but missed the final cut ahead of the tournament.
