Real Betis boss Gus Poyet has insisted that television broadcasters have too much power when it comes to the scheduling of La Liga matches.
Betis have had to play two of their opening four La Liga fixtures this season on a Friday night, while they have a midweek match against local rivals Sevilla to come on Tuesday.
Poyet has said that "football is supposed to be played" at weekends and admitted that he is getting "a little bit sick" of having to fit in with the television schedule.
"The weekends are when football is supposed to be played. We must excuse the TV broadcasters, but we are a little bit sick of this," Poyet told reporters.
Betis have won one, drawn two and lost one of their four league matches this season, with a total of five points leaving them in 11th position in the table.
