Hull City are allegedly ready to rival West Bromwich Albion for the January signature of Blackburn Rovers striker Rudy Gestede.
New Baggies boss Tony Pulis is believed to be targeting the towering Frenchman as he prepares to lose top goalscorer Saido Berahino.
However, Steve Bruce is also looking for a forward this month to boost Hull's Premier League survival chances and he too likes the look of Gestede.
Sky Sports News claims that the Tigers are planning a £4.5m bid offer for the former Cardiff City frontman, who has scored 12 goals in 24 appearances for Blackburn this season.
Hull could be without first-choice forwards Nikica Jelavic and Abel Hernandez for up to six weeks because of injury and so Bruce is keen to secure an agreement over the 26-year-old as soon as possible.
