West Ham United forward Ricardo Vaz Te says that his side are "definitely the favourites" for promotion via the playoffs and "Blackpool should be edgy".

West Ham United forward Ricardo Vaz Te is convinced that his side will overcome Blackpool at Wembley later today and secure an immediate return to the Premier League.

The Hammers go into the playoff final on the back of four consecutive wins and Vaz Te thinks that Ian Holloway's team should be very wary of them.

"We are definitely the favourites and Blackpool should be edgy," the Portuguese told the Daily Mail. "We're going to make sure they stay where they are. It's simple, really.

"We've just shown in the two playoff games (5-0 aggregate win against Cardiff City) that we're superior and we're going to stay superior.

"If we do win — and I think we will — people will say, 'Yeah, but they should have won anyway'. We're going to make sure that's what they say at the end."

Vaz Te has scored 11 goals in 17 Championship games since his £500,000 move from Barnsley in January.
