Blackpool manager Lee Clark has revealed that he felt like he had no choice but to allow striker Steven Davies to leave the club for Sheffield United on a loan deal.
Davies has featured regularly for the Tangerines, scoring five times in 18 appearances this season, but after discussions with the forward, Clark made the decision to let him join the League One outfit.
The 42-year-old told BBC Radio Lancashire: "He said he was a bit unhappy with certain things and would like the possibility of moving on.
"When a player is like that, you have to take it into consideration because it is pointless having a player who is so unhappy around the club."
Davies could feature in Sheffield United's fixture with Fleetwood Town at the weekend.
