Half-Time Report: Bolton Wanderers, Ipswich Town cancel each other out

Both teams cancel each other out as Bolton Wanderers and Ipswich Town go into the interval level.

Bolton Wanderers and Ipswich Town have cancelled each other out during the opening 45 minutes at the Reebok Stadium following a 0-0 half-time draw.

The Tractor Boys dominated the opening exchanges without claiming the reward that their dominance merited.

Mick McCarthy's men should have taken the lead mid-way through the opening 45 minutes, as goalkeeper Andy Lonergan - deputising for the injured Adam Bogdan - produced a smart save to deny Manchester United loanee Ryan Tunnicliffe from opening the scoring.

The Trotters soon developed a foothold in proceedings, with Jermaine Beckford in particular proving a menace.

The former Leeds United hitman swivelled on the edge of area before rifling narrowly wide of Dean Gerken's post.

Lee Chung-Yong came close for Dougie Freedman's men once more, but both sides go into the interval level.
