Everton want Bournemouth's Joshua King on permanent deal?

Everton want to sign Bournemouth's Joshua King on a permanent basis when he becomes a free agent in the summer, according to a report.

Everton are reportedly keen to sign Bournemouth striker Joshua King on a permanent basis.

The former Manchester United protege has struggled to make his mark at Goodison Park so far, making five substitute appearances in the Premier League without finding the back of the net.

King penned a six-month loan deal with Carlo Ancelotti's side back in January, but his future beyond the summer remains uncertain due to his contract at Bournemouth expiring in June.

However, Football Insider reports that Everton want to strike a permanent deal for King despite his relatively slow start to life on Merseyside.

The report adds that Everton believe King possesses similar qualities to star striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, and the Cherries already received a £2m nominal fee for the striker's loan move in the most recent transfer window.

Everton next face West Bromwich Albion on Thursday before meeting Chelsea on Monday, and King will be hopeful of starting at least one of those matches amid a packed fixture list.
