Brackley Town manager John Brady has said that it was a "special night" for the club when they upset League One outfit Gillingham in the first round of the FA Cup.
The Conference North side secured a 1-0 victory over a team currently 63 places above them in the Football League pyramid, courtesy of Glenn Walker's 20-yard strike on Monday evening.
Brackley were on the back foot for much of the contest, and although Brady has admitted that they enjoyed their fair share of fortune, he applauded his side for their work ethic and determination.
He told reporters: "It is a special night. We worked very hard and rode our luck at times, but the players showed courage and belief.
"Gillingham had their chances but they didn't take them and we rode our luck. I can't ask for any more from our players."
The Saints will travel to League Two club Macclesfield Town in the second round.
