Bristol City deny Sam Baldock exit rumours

Bristol City manager Sean O'Driscoll dismisses rumours linking Sam Baldock with a move to Championship leaders Blackpool.

Bristol City manager Sean O'Driscoll has denied rumours linking Sam Baldock with a move to Blackpool.

It was recently reported that the Championship leaders were keen to sign the 24-year-old forward before the end of the transfer window.

"Nobody has contacted me, I'm not sure where that came from," O'Driscoll told BBC Sport.

"We're not looking to shift people out as I don't think we can - our squad is that lightweight. It would have to be an offer we can't refuse."

Baldock joined Bristol City on a three-year contract from West Ham United last summer.
