Goalkeeper Ben Hamer has returned to Leicester City after his season-long loan at Bristol City was cut short.
The 27-year-old joined the Robins in August but has failed to earn a regular first-team spot under Steve Cotterill.
He made five appearances in his first month at the club, but has played second fiddle to Frank Fielding since the latter's return from injury.
Hamer, who was close to joining Nottingham Forest on a similar deal earlier in the summer, now has the opportunity to seek regular football at another club.
