David Luiz warns Chelsea to be "careful" against Paris Saint-Germain

David Luiz warns Chelsea that they will be taking a risk if they sit back in Wednesday's crucial Champions League last-16 second leg at Stamford Bridge.

David Luiz has warned Chelsea that Paris Saint-Germain stars Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Edinson Cavani and Ezequiel Lavezzi are capable of causing trouble at Stamford Bridge if the Blues decide to sit back.

The last-16 Champions League tie currently sits at 1-1 from the first leg at Parc des Princes.

On Wednesday evening, Luiz, who spent three years at Chelsea before joining PSG last year, will try to help his teammates seal a victory on the Blues' home soil in order to book a place in the quarter-finals of the elite tournament.

"I know how Jose [Mourinho] will prepare for this, he will be telling the boys to be patient and hit us on the counter attack," The Mirror quotes Luiz as saying.

"He knows that we need to score and that they don't, I know that is his way. We must be careful because I know that Chelsea have the ability to hurt on the counter attack, but they must be careful as well.

"To sit back and just defend against Zlatan, Cavani and Lavezzi can also be very dangerous, so it is not just us who have to be careful."

Should the scoreline stay 1-1 on aggregate, Chelsea will progress as they secured an away goal in the first leg.
