Jose Mourinho: 'Chelsea not among favourites for Champions League'

Jose Mourinho claims that Chelsea are not among the favourites to win the Champions League this season.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has claimed that his side are not among the favourites to win the Champions League this season.

The Blues host Steaua Bucuresti in their final group fixture on Wednesday knowing that they are already through to the last 16 of the competition.

"We are not considered one of the favourites to win," he told reporters.

"The favourites in my opinion are Bayern Munich because they are the current winners and have the same players, new manager and unbelievable stability.

"Barcelona, Real Madrid too - these teams are clearly in front. But any one in the last eight can win. It is an interesting competition as always."

Chelsea head into the match on the back of Saturday's 3-2 defeat to Stoke City in the Premier League.
