AC Milan have joined the race for Chelsea's Danish central defender Andreas Christensen, according to a report.
The 25-year-old is out of contract this summer, and up to this point, has rejected any contract offers on the table from the Champions League holders.
Now according to Italian outlet Calciomercato, AC Milan are the latest side to step up their interest in Christensen, who is free to speak to foreign clubs this month and sign a pre-contract agreement ahead of a potential move in the summer.
However, the outlet also states how the likes of Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich have been eyeing a move for the defender, who has made 13 Premier League appearances so far this season.
Should he make the move to Italy, Christensen would link up with former Chelsea teammate Fikayo Tomori, who made his move to Stefano Pioli's side permanent last summer.
The defender last played in Chelsea's 1-0 win at Tottenham Hotspur in the EFL Cup on Wednesday, but was ruled out of their clash at Manchester City on Saturday after testing positive for COVID-19.
