Chelsea are currently negotiating a move for Brazilian striker Taison, according to to reports.
The forward, who plays for Ukrainian side Metalist Kharkiv, is thought to have attended the 0-0 draw against Fulham ahead of a move to Stamford Bridge.
The Blues were originally linked with the 24-year-old in the summer, though a move never materialised.
However, it seems that Chelsea have reignited their interest after Fernando Torres's poor performances so far this season, according to Globoesporte.
Radamel Falcao is still understood to be a target for next summer, but Taison will join in January to give Rafael Benitez some much-needed options in front of goal.
A bid of £12m is expected for Taison, who can play anywhere across the front line.
Taison, who moved to Ukraine in 2010, has notched 18 goals in 69 appearances for Metalist.
