Chelsea reportedly still have the option to re-sign Nathan Ake at the end of the season.
The 24-year-old represented the Blues between 2011 and 2017 before completing a permanent move to Bournemouth.
Ake has made 112 appearances for the Cherries in all competitions, while his contract at the Vitality Stadium will run until the summer of 2022.
Tottenham Hotspur will allegedly attempt to sign the Netherlands international during this summer's transfer window should Bournemouth drop out of the Premier League.
However, according to The Sun, Chelsea still have the option of re-signing Ake at the end of the 2019-20 campaign, with Frank Lampard's side needing an offer of £40m to activate the clause.
The versatile defender has made 22 appearances for the Blues during the 2019-20 campaign, contributing two goals and one assist in the process.
