Chelsea will reportedly turn focus to Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku should they miss out on top summer transfer target Erling Braut Haaland.
The Blues are not alone in showing an interest in Borussia Dortmund's highly-rated striker Haaland, who has 33 goals in 31 matches this season.
According to reports from Spain, Real Madrid are leading the way for the Norway international's signature ahead of the window opening in July.
Should Chelsea fail to land Haaland, Eurosport reports that the Premier League side will instead look to bring in Lukaku from cash-strapped Inter.
Lukaku spent three years on Chelsea's books between 2011 and 2014, but he struggled to hold down a place in the side and spent two separate spells out on loan.
The 27-year-old is now enjoying the best form of his career, having scored 59 goals in 85 games for the Nerazzurri to help them close in on a first Scudetto since 2010.
Inter are said to be open to the idea of cashing in on Lukaku at the end of the season if they can bring in Sergio Aguero on a free transfer.
