Lyon have reportedly told Nabil Fekir to make a final decision over his future at the club before the winter break.
Fekir was on the brink of leaving the club during the summer, having already carried out media duties ahead of his proposed move to Liverpool only for the deal to break down at the eleventh hour following a complication with the medical.
However, the club captain's future remains uncertain with just 18 months remaining on his contract, and there is expected to be further interest in his services during the January transfer window and beyond.
Chelsea and Bayern Munich are understood to be monitoring Fekir's situation at the club, while it remains to be seen whether Liverpool might revive their interest in the future.
French outlet Le Progres reports that Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas is planning to meet with Fekir regarding his future.
The club are keen for the France international to make a decision one way or the other before they play their final game before Christmas on either December 21 or 22.
Lyon are desperate to keep hold of their star asset, but they could be forced to cash in on him next summer or risk losing him for free in 2020.
