Liverpool have been monitoring Fulham youngster Fabio Carvalho 'for months', according to a report.

Liverpool have reportedly been monitoring Fulham's Fabio Carvalho 'for months', with the Reds firmly in the race for the attacker's signature.

The 19-year-old has been in impressive form for the Championship leaders during the 2021-22 campaign, contributing eight goals and two assists in 18 appearances in all competitions.

Carvalho's contract at Craven Cottage is due to expire this summer, though, and Marco Silva's side are struggling to sign him to an extension.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool have been monitoring the youngster 'for months', with the Reds 'watching him closely', as they weigh up a move at some point this year.

However, Romano claims that 'many clubs' are in the race for the teenager, who has scored nine times and registered two assists in 24 appearances for his current side in all competitions.

Carvalho, who has netted four times in his last three Championship appearances, is also believed to be a target for Chelsea, Real Madrid and West Ham United.
