Former Bayern Munich goalkeeper Oliver Kahn expects Manuel Neuer to extend his stay with the Bundesliga champions amid interest from Chelsea.
The 34-year-old's current deal with the Bavarian giants is set to expire next summer, and Chelsea have reportedly identified the Germany international as an ideal signing with Kepa Arrizabalaga struggling for consistency.
The imminent arrival of Schalke shot-stopper Alexander Nubel will supposedly leave Neuer unsure over his amount of game time, but Kahn believes that the two keepers should work well together at Bayern.
Speaking to Bild, Kahn said: "In general, as I have shown myself, goalkeepers can of course play into old age, but maintaining a high level is a great challenge.
"In Alexander Nubel, we get a highly-talented goalkeeper, who has the chance to develop and learn behind Manuel Neuer. Not many have the opportunity to work with the best goalkeeper in the world every day."
Neuer has kept 10 clean sheets in 25 Bundesliga outings this term.
