A goal from Freddy Adu has earned nine-man Philadelphia Union an unlikely first away win of the season at Club Deportivo Chivas USA.
The 22-year-old former Benfica midfielder tapped home from close range five minutes before half time, following good work from Gabriel Gomez.
That was the visitors' only real threatening attack of the game, while Chivas bombarded Zac MacMath's goal for long spells.
MacMath made good saves to deny substitutes Blair Gavin and Juan Pablo Angel, while Alejandro Moreno missed a sitter as Union desperately hung on to their lead.
Philadelphia's task was made harder on 75 minutes when Keon Daniel was shown a straight red card for a bad tackle on Ryan Smith.
But despite this, and Gabriel Farfan also being sent off for a late challenge on James Riley, Piotr Nowak's men held out for a memorable victory.
