The Belgians did take the lead in the 79th minute, after Serdar Kurtulus fouled Gedoz inside the area and Refaelov dispatched the penalty past Gonen.
Besiktas made just one attempt on goal in the closing stages, as Kerim Frei forced Matt Ryan into a save.
