Steven Pressley challenges Callum Wilson to continue form

Coventry City boss Steven Pressley challenges Callum Wilson to continue his goalscoring form for the League One outfit.

Coventry City boss Steven Pressley has challenged Callum Wilson to maintain his early-season goalscoring form.

The 21-year-old has scored three times for the club this season, but Pressley has challenged the youngster to maintain that standard throughout the campaign.

"Scoring goals is obviously a striker's main job but our style means that we need them to be pressing the opposition, disrupting their game at every opportunity," he told the Coventry Telegraph.

"Callum and Leon [Clarke] have really bought into that culture and I'm particularly delighted for Callum because he's had a lot of injury setbacks in his career and he's waited a long time to get a run in the first team.

"I've told him how pleased I am with his efforts but I've also told him that he can't afford to sit back and think he's made it. Every time he raises the bar he sets himself a new target. That's how young players improve and he's certainly shown that he will accept that challenge."

French striker Mathieu Manset recently joined the club on a free transfer.
