Croatia boss Slaven Bilic praises his team following their 3-1 Euro 2012 win over the Republic of Ireland.

Croatia boss Slaven Bilic has insisted that his team can "play better" following their 3-1 victory over the Republic of Ireland at Euro 2012.

A brace from Mario Mandzukic helped the Croatians to victory and Bilic claimed that it was one of the best performances he had seen from his side.

"We can always play better. The match against Ireland was great, close to our maximum. We already have three points in our pocket but there is still a lot to play for," he told reporters.

"It does not matter whether this is one of the best performances of this generation. We previously had good matches against England, Germany and Russia.

"The most important thing is that we played well. We outplayed them physically, tactically and psychologically."

Croatia face Spain in Group C on Thursday.
