Crystal Palace will reportedly hold talks with Roy Hodgson about his future with the club after their upturn in results since his return.

Crystal Palace are reportedly set to hold talks with caretaker manager Roy Hodgson about his long-term future following his return to the club earlier this season.

Since Hodgson's arrival after the sacking of Patrick Vieira, Palace have taken 16 points from eight games, with relegation fears quickly put to bed.

Hodgson's appointment saw him break his own record as the oldest manager in Premier League history at the age of 75, and he will celebrate his 76th birthday before the start of next season.

Sky Sports News claims that Hodgson's focus is purely on the club's final two games of the season, while the Palace board will assess all options before deciding on their next permanent manager.

Hodgson has often avoided questions asking whether he is keen on taking on the role full time from next season.

After beating West Ham United at the end of April, when asked about his future, Hodgson said post match: "I'm not prepared to talk about that at all. What happens after the season will happen. At the moment, I shall enjoy this last month and I'll make no comments whatsoever."

The Eagles were winless in 2023 before Hodgson arrived for their first fixture in April, but the veteran coach has guided them to five wins from eight matches.
