Marouane Chamakh signs for Crystal Palace from Arsenal on a one-year deal.

Crystal Palace have announced the signing of Marouane Chamakh from Arsenal on a one-year deal.

The striker, who spent time on loan at West Ham United last season, has been out of favour at the Emirates Stadium and has not played for the Gunners in the Premier League since May 2012.

He failed to score in his spell with West Ham but Palace manager Ian Holloway has now made the Moroccan his seventh signing of the summer.

Chamakh follows Jose Campana, Stephen Dobbie, Dwight Gayle, Elliot Grandin and Jerome Thomas in making the move to the Premier League newcomers.
