Manchester City midfielder Jack Rodwell has been called up to the England squad for their friendly games against the Republic of Ireland and Brazil.
The 22-year-old has been added to Roy Hodgson's squad following the news that Tom Cleverley is set to miss out on the two matches due to injury.
Rodwell has two England caps already to his name as he featured in the Three Lions' friendly games against Spain and Sweden in 2011.
The midfielder has struggled for fitness this season at Manchester City since his £12m move from Everton last summer, as he has managed just 15 appearances this campaign.
He did finish the season on a high note as he scored a brace in City's 3-2 defeat to Norwich City on the final day.
