Marseille looking to sign Everton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin?

Marseille reportedly consider a move for Everton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin, who is likely to be allowed to leave Goodison Park.

Everton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Marseille.

Schneiderlin has spent the last 18 months at Goodison Park, with 54 appearances being made in all competitions, but the Frenchman has failed to impress with the Toffees.

New director of football Marcel Brands has previously indicated that players will need to be sold to instigate new arrivals, and according to France Football, Marseille are looking to agree a deal for Schneiderlin.

The 28-year-old cost in the region of £20m in January 2017, and although Everton are unlikely to recoup that fee, any offer relatively close to that figure is expected to be welcomed.

Schneiderlin has not played his domestic football in France since 2008, when he made five outings for Strasbourg.
