Fulham's record signing Kostas Mitroglou to sit out Chelsea clash

Fulham manager Felix Magath confirms that Kostas Mitroglou will sit out of this weekend's Premier League clash against Chelsea.

Fulham manager Felix Magath has confirmed that the club's record signing Kostas Mitroglou will play no part in this Saturday's match against Chelsea.

The Greek international, who moved to Craven Cottage from Olympiacos for a reported £12m fee in January, has played just 30 minutes for Fulham since his arrival.

"Mitroglou isn't ready at the moment but he's developing and I think next week [against Cardiff City] we can count on him, but the game against Chelsea is a bit too early," Goal.com quotes Mitroglou as saying.

"He doesn't have an injury, he has a lack of fitness. The Premier League is not the same as the Greek league."

Mitroglou came off the bench during Fulham's 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion last weekend.
