Getafe forward Alvaro Vasquez will be out of action for the next three months after learning that he will require surgery to repair a broken clavicle.
The Spanish Under-21 international recently met with doctors in the hope of avoiding surgery on his left shoulder, but medics revealed that an operation was necessary.
As a result, the striker will be on the sidelines until the start of 2015.
The 23-year-old joined Getafe from Espanyol in 2012, while he spent the second half of last season on loan at Premier League side Swansea City.
