Dean Whitehead has admitted that he is enjoying the task of captaining Huddersfield Town during their upturn in fortunes.
The 33-year-old has taken over the role from defender Mark Hudson, who has missed the last four games through injury.
Whitehead is making the most of leading out the Terriers, but he is happy to hand the armband back over to Hudson once the former Cardiff City man returns to fitness.
"The main thing is that we keep playing well as a team," he is quoted as saying by The Huddersfield Daily Examiner. "I like the responsibility of being captain, and of course I like to win games, but I am only standing in for Huddy."
Huddersfield have gone three games without defeat in the Championship to climb up to 16th place.
